You may be asking yourself how the heck can you possibly compete with the guy down the street? They have a huge team. They have a crazy marketing budget. They’re are freaking parts to their product that are designed just a little bit better than you. It happens. There is no shame in this. And it doesn’t mean you’re out of the game. Today I’m going to share with you one marketing feature that if done consistently, will help you capture crazy amounts of leads. What is this secret sauce? YouTube.
By now you’ve all heard and know visuals are far more powerful than words. Let’s be real, people hate reading. This is a no brainer. But how the heck do you make a video? What type of gear do you need? How do you edit that together? Is it a bit daunting right? Today I’m going to share a simple strategy to give you a taste of YouTube marketing, something I believe all of us are capable of doing.
Don’t over do it. I repeat do NOT overdue it. You don’t have the budget or resources to film something epic. And yes, doing something epic will cost a pretty penny. But guess what you don’t need to do that. There is nothing wrong with grabbing a cellphone and filming yourself in the office for 2-3 minutes answering a customer question.
The secret is you need to be consistent. Every day producing these videos. This isn’t impossible guys, but you do need to commit to putting in the hard work.
You have a website, you know it needs to rank, that’s where SEO comes in. Well, one proven way to get major rankings and FAST are with videos. On top of that, videos shared on YouTube pack that extra punch of SEO Power.
What does this mean for you? Well, let’s say you don’t have the budget for content writing, social media, ads, etc. Don’t stress about it. Instead, focus on making these low budget videos and keep producing them and posting them on YouTube. In the long run, they are worth more than an article.
If you’re waiting for things to be perfect, you’re too late. There will never be a perfect time to launch. If that’s what you’re expecting someone else will beat you. When it comes to these types of videos keep it in perspective. You’re not looking to create something insane. You’re looking to create value. You’re planting seeds. The more seeds you have the better the odds of seeing a return, right?
That’s how YouTube marketing works on a budget. The more video / content you create now the stronger your chances of success tomorrow.
It’s really simple. Grab a phone, think of questions customers asked you, go to your office and answer them. Try to keep it short, ideally around 2-3 minutes long. In another article we’ll discuss the proper way to optimize these pieces of content, for now just worry about creating video content.
